2025 CyberInfrastructure Summer Immersion Program (CI-SIP)
Ten students participated virtually across the state of Hawaiʻi, Guam, and the U.S. mainland during a four-week summer research immersion program focused on cyberinfrastructure. Participants represented three institutions, including University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, Boston University, and the University of Guam. Students came from diverse academic backgrounds including Information and Computer Sciences, Cell and Molecular Biology, and Mathematics.

CUH NSF INCLUDES Alliance Summer 2025 Data Science Immersion
The SCIPE-CPP program supported twenty four students to participate in the Chaminade University of Honolulu (CUH) NSF INCLUDES Alliance Summer 2025 Data Science Immersion program (SPICE, Supporting Pacific Impact through Computational Excellence, HRD-2217242). The SCIPE-CPP program provided 25% of the student's stipend and the operational support of Wong, Flynn and Turner to students in the program. SPICE has run since 2019, but with CPP support in 2025, the focus expanded to incliude developing and tracking advanced CI skills in participants. Every student was required to engage with the high performance computing systems at the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC). CI competency and use of CI tools were tracked and assessed via final poster products. SPICE students were co sponsored by SCIPE-CPP and the Hawaii EPSCoR, and SPICE was generously sponsored by TACC.
