The workshop will cover the Hawaii Climate Data Portal (HCDP) and its features, datasets, and uses. It will also include an overview of the API for data access and examples of how to get access to and use the API.

This workshop will introduce participants to the challenges, tools (including Globus and Rclone), and techniques for optimizing scientific data transfers over a network, addressing common bottlenecks and performance issues.

 

 

Functional diversity metrics: Applications for ecological studies

This workshop will introduce participants to functional diversity, its ecological meaning, and the calculation of relevant metrics through a lecture and an exercise in R.

 

Scale Your Computing and Data Work on the OSDF and OSPool

This 90-minute training will introduce researchers to High Throughput Computing (HTC) and efficient data scaling using the computational capacity of the OSPool and the data distribution network of the Open Science Data Federation (OSDF) via hands-on exercises.

 

Research Computing using the NSF FABRIC compute and test-bed Cyberinfrastructure

This comprehensive, hands-on workshop is dedicated to quickly enhancing proficiency in advanced research computing and networking by teaching participants how to access and leverage the unique compute, storage, networking, and specialized infrastructure (like GPUs and FPGAs) of the NSF FABRIC platform for both foundational experiments and advanced applications in AI/ML.
